GROUP
THERAPY
You’re not alone
What is Group Therapy?
We understand the value of peer support and encouragement in the healing process. Group therapy is a form of counseling that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time.
Building trust and support is key to fostering a sense of camaraderie and understanding. With trust, meaningful connections can develop. Although group members start as strangers, over time, participants often become valuable and trusted sources of support.
Trained to Help You
We facilitate therapeutic and peer groups by providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to discuss personal stressors and struggles with others who are facing similar circumstances. Groups are designed to help individuals navigate their life stories, grow in their ability to encourage others with similar issues, learn healthy coping strategies, and understand the importance of not facing struggles alone; and are tailored to target specific problems, such as:
- Depression
- Social Anxiety
- Trauma and Healing
- Grief and loss of a spouse, a child, or someone who died by suicide
- Emotion Regulation
- Distress Tolerance
- Improving Interpersonal Relationships
Getting Started
Group therapy involves one or more specialized therapists leading a group of approximately 8-12 individuals. Groups typically meet weekly or bi-weekly for 1-2 hours and are scheduled based upon need and demand. If you are currently in counseling with us, let your therapist know you are interested in participating in group therapy and they will assist you in integrating into a group that is right for you!
